After checking in and freshening up, you will gear up and head straight for paragliding session in Bir Billing. The jumping point is high up on the Billing hill. The flight will be of tandem type .ie an experienced pilot will do all the hard work of controlling the flight while you relax and enjoy the episode. The jump will be scary at first but once you get in the air, your fear will be replaced by bundles of joyful screams on top of your lungs and a lot of selfies.
After 30 minutes of flying, you’ll land in Chowgan area (also known as the landing site). You are free to return to the camp or continue to explore the town of Bir till the end of the day. The first day will end at the camp with complimentary Bonfire + Music, dinner and overnight camping under the stars.
Post the breakfast buffet, you'll be on your way for the rock climbing, river crossing and rappelling activities in the pickup provided by the Shivirama. You'd also be sightseeing on your way there. The road to the rock climbing site is so serene, we advise you to charge your camera the night before.
It is strongly advised to keep your belongings (especially electronics) safe and secure while doing these activities. The same pickup will take you back to the Shivirama in the evening. The day will end with campfire, music and overnight camping under
Based on weather conditions & Local Factors, the paragliding session can be carried out either on day 1 or 2.
Post breakfast, we'll be heading for trekking. The valley is surrounded by dense forest of Oak, Rhododendron and Devdara canopies and local villages. These are tribal villages and people here are categorised as semi nomadic.
There is a modest yet colorful culture of shopping in Bir, with a handful of local markets (without much of the everyday hustle-bustle of a metro city). We'll visit one such market located at the Bir Road called as the Bir Bazaar.
After the Bazaar, we'll get to another tourist spot in the area: The Bir Tea Factory. With tea gardens and plantations brimming around the town, it is only natural to have a factory which also offer tours inside, for an insight into the tea manufacturing process. It's nothing like you've ever seen before.
Our last stop would be the Tibetan colony, famous for a number of handicrafts sold here as well as local Tibetan food. At the end of the day, you’ll return to the camp and end the day with inhouse activities, dinner and camping under the stars.
After having our breakfast, we shall head to riverside trout angling near Barot. The party will be transported to the spot by the camp. Fishing equipment and a guide will also accompany.
Barot is a calm and beautiful valley where one can spend quality time with family and friends. There are lots of outdoor activities, walking along Uhl river (it's a treat for photographers and selfie enthusiasts), trekking, bird watching and sport fishing. Trout fish is in abundance here and we'll go see the trout fish farms too.
After chilling in Barot, the party will head for sightseeing at the Barot dam and the Shanan Power House.
The party will return to the camp at sunset.
We’ll leave the camp early morning after breakfast and arrive in Mcleodganj.
The party will begin hiking to the famous Bhagsu Nag temple and up to Bhagsu Waterfall. The 20m. high waterfall is a delight to visit. There are plenty of cafes and small restaurants at the spot too. After chilling for a while at the spot, the party will get ready for the panoramic views of the Bhagsu Village, Mcleodganj, the Dharamsala Valley and a not so distant view of the Shivalik Hills and the plains of Kangra Valley. On our return, we’ll visit the famous home of the Dalai Lama – The Dalai Lama Temple and also visit ancient St. John Church (If time allows).
The party will then begin their return to Shivirama in the evening
Post breakfast, you will check out from the camp. You’ll be going sightseeing to Baijnath in the pickup provided by the Shivirama. In the evening/late noon the trip will officially come to end. You will be escorted to the bus stand by our representative.
Be assured that when you reach back home, your home will still be the same but something in you will change.
